“Narayan’s works explain that Malgudi is a small town somewhere between Bangalore and Mysore. Narayan himself spent most of his life in Mysore. So, it would be great if an existing train is christened Malgudi Express,” Krishna wrote in the letter addressed to Singh and Trivedi.
In addition, the Union Government should release a postage stamp in memory of the late writer on the occasion of his 106th birthday which falls on October 6, 2011, Krishna said in his letter to Union Minister for Information Technology and Communications, Kapil Sibal.
