AoL plans to sue NGO convenor

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, AoL volunteer B Mahesh said the land issue was in court and Lakshmana’s statements were a contempt of court.

According to Mahesh, survey number 41 in ‘F’ Block, where AoL is situated, belongs neither to the government nor to the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA).

He said it does not even belong to the Gram Panchayat. The land belongs to Raghu alias Avadhani. Raghu is a follower of Ravishankar and wants to build an ashrama at the site, Mahesh said.

Mahesh said, in 2007, MUDA said it had acquired 184 acres and 28 guntas, including the AoL land.

This was a plan devised by the government to take away the land, he said.
