informed The judges of the show. ‘Master Chef Australia’ has combed the country to find this year’s top 50 amateur chefs, who hail from all walks of life. A graphic designer, a farmer, a mum of five, a fruit and veg salesman, an award-winning winemaker and in a show first, a fighter pilot — to name but of a few of the colourful personalities appearing; all will be trying to prove they have the culinary chutzpah to win the ultimate title. 

On August 26, the contestants compete in teams of three in a mix of Invention Test and Mystery Box. Each team randomly chooses a protein (such as pork or scallops) and a cooking method (such as roasting or braising) and are tasked with creating a dish around that element. Some teams struggle with their unusual combinations.

WB presents ‘Deep Blue Sea’ on August 26 at 10.55 pm. The film stars Saffron Burrows, Thomas Jane and LL Cool J. A beautiful scientist is on the verge of making medical history. But for the greater good, her experiments have violated ethical codes in the hopes of using genetically modified sharks to regenerate human brain tissue.

Now, one of nature’s fastest and most perfect killing machines has been re-engineered as something smarter, faster and much, much more deadly. And when things go disastrously wrong as a tropical storm bears down, the aquatic killing machines begin hunting their creators — who are alone and adrift on the ‘Deep Blue Sea’.
