Ruckus in Lok Sabha

Last Updated 26 August 2011, 19:12 IST

The MPs of the BJP, Shiv Sena and JD(U) stormed the well of the House, raising slogans and protesting against the move to hold the debate in a short notice. BJP MP Anurag Thakur was seen tearing up the order paper listing the supplementary business.

As soon as Deputy Speaker Karia Munda took up notices issued, the BJP MPs protested demanding it should be taken up under a rule which entails voting. Munda then told the House that Speaker Meira Kumar had intimated about a supplementary business. But the pandemonium continued and Munda had to adjourn the House for an hour.
