City police commissioner chokkalingam said they were arrested under IPC Sections 336 (Act endangering life or personal safety of others) 286 (negligent conduct with respect to explosive substance) read with the mines and minerals act.
Four tipper lorries, 13 detonators and three gelatine sticks were also seized from them, they said.
