Charges
Case 1

Alleged illegal denotification of BDA lands to favour his kins. Some of the prominent cases of denotifications mentioned in the complaint are:

* Denotification of 1.12 acres in survey number 55/2 of Rachenalli, Bangalore, for the benefit of former minister S N Krishnaiah Setty and Yeddyurappa’s children, son-in-law.

* Canceling acquisition process of 0.16 acres in survey number 56 of Rachenalli for the benefit of former minister S N Krishnaiah Setty and Yeddyurappa’s children, son-in-law.

* Amalgamation of public road (measuring 47,972 sq ft) of Vyalikaval House Building Cooperative Society, Nagavara Layout, Bangalore, with Yeddyurappa’s family firm Dhavalagiri Properties & Developers Ltd.

All the above cases referred to the Lokayukta police for an inquiry report.

Case 2
* Denotification of 2.05 acres in survey number 81/3 of Arakere village, Bangalore, in favour of Yeddyurappa’s aide, Sathya Kumari.

* Denotification of 1.07 acres in survey number 51/1 of Devarachikkanahalli, Bangalore, for the benefit of BSY’s supporter, K Manjunath.

* Denotification of four acres in survey numbers 42/1A2, 42/4-A2 and 42/2B in  Geddalahalli, Bangalore, for the benefit of his aides, V Manjunath and K Shivappa.
Besides Yeddyurappa, 14 others are accused in the above cases.

Case 3
* Yeddyurappa’s son-in-law Sohan Kumar’s uncle got a BDA site in HSR Layout in violation of rules. In addition, the site has been transferred in the name of Sohan Kumar.

* Yeddyurappa, Dhavalagiri Property Developers, Bhagath Homes and Minister Shobha Karandlaje received illegal gratification from Adarsha Developers, which has allegedly encroached a tank.

* BSY and five others accused of denotifying 5.13 acres of BDA land in Nagarabhavi First phase, in violation of judicial pronouncements

Upper Bhadra Project
Yeddyurappa is also charged with committing irregularities in awarding contract for the Upper Bhadra irrigation project. He allegedly awarded the Rs1,033-crore project to the highest bidder, RNS-Jyothi, contrary to the norm. In case of government projects, it is the lowest bidder who gets the contract. And in turn for this alleged favour, RNS-Jyothi gave an amount of Rs 13 crore to two firms run by his sons - Dhavalagiri Developers and Sahyadri Healthcare.

In another case, he has been charged with receiving illegal gratification from South-West Mining Company, which bought one acre of land in Bangalore from a trust owned by his sons at an exorbitant rate of Rs 20 crore. The market value of the land is said to be Rs one crore. Yeddyurappa has been indicted by the Lokayukta in the illegal mining report on this count.

Cases yet to come up
Sirajin Basha has filed two more cases against Yeddyurappa which are yet to come up before the Lokayukta court.

* Yeddyurappa family using Dhavalagiri Properties for pecuniary advantages.

* Denotifying BDA lands in  survey number 15/1, 15/2  illegally in favour of Besto Infrastructure Bangalore Pvt Ltd

* B Y Raghavendra, MP and son of Yeddyurappa and Bharati Shetty, BJP MLC, illegally got sites in Rajmahal Vilas II Stage.
Yeddyurappa and 11 others are accused in this case.

* The Yeddyurappa family received gratification through the family owned Bhagat Homes.

* A BDA land in Rachenahalli was denotified in favour of Health Zone Advisors Pvt Ltd but later land went to the family of Yeddyurappa.

* Denotifying survey number 121 in Uttarahalli to help Sahyadri Health Care & Diagnostics for pecuniary advantage.

Status
* Summons issued to Yeddyurappa in cases 2 and 3. The first case has been referred the Lokayukta police. He did not appear before the court on August 27, but has to present himself before the court on Monday.

* The Lokayukta police have filed an FIR pertaining to the irrigation project case and investigation is on. Another FIR has been filed in illegal mining scam. Yeddyurappa has moved the High Court seeking anticipatory bail in cases relating to land denotification and Upper Bhadra project.

Complainants
Advocates Sirajin Basha and K N Balaraj on land scams; JD(S) spokesperson Y S V Datta on irregularities in the Bhadra irrigation project. Lokayukta police have filed the case in respect of illegal mining, on the basis of the permission accorded by the Governor.


H D Kumaraswamy, Anita Kumaraswamy

Charges
Kumaraswamy has been accused of recommending renewal of a mining lease of Jantakal Mining Company in violation of rules and also allotting government land to Vishwabharathi Housing Co-operative Society, Bangalore, for personal gains during his tenure as the chief minister. The housing society, in turn, allotted a site to his wife, Anita Kumaraswamy.

Status
Summons have been issued to both husband and wife to appear before the court on August 30. Both have applied for anticipatory bail before the Lokayukta court.

Katta Subramanya Naidu and his son Katta Jagadish

Charges
Katta and his son are accused of receiving a kickback of Rs 87 crore from Itasca Software for allotting 325 acres of land near Bengaluru international airport.

Senior Katta had allegedly got the special economic zone project of the firm sanctioned violating the rules when he was the Industries Minister in the JD(S)-BJP coalition government.

Besides, he and his son are accused of cheating the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board by selling the farmers lands to it on the basis of fictitious documents.

Status
Investigation is on and both father and son duo are in judicial custody and lodged at Central jail.

Complainant
A suo motu case initiated by the Lokayukta police. The Enforcement Directorate under Union Ministry of Finance has begun trailing the money transactions of the Kattas in Itasca case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
