But to our surprise, Celina said that she would do the scene herself.”
The actress went on to do the entire scene herself. “Celina did not even once ask the director about the degree of risk involved in doing such a scene. What’s more, she had not worn any protective outfit. There were precautions taken on the set. What came as a

Slipping into a snake suit

Hisss, a bi-lingual (Hindi and English) film starring Mallika Sherawat is about a snake woman seeking revenge. The man behind Mallika’s elaborate look of a snake woman in the film is Robert Kurtzman, the Hollywood make-up effects creator behind blockbusters such as Evil Dead 2 and Hulk. Kurtzman has pulled out all the stops to make Sherawat evoke a combination of fear and mystery, through her costumes and make-up. He has experimented with MUFX (short for make-up effects) or prosthetic make-up.
The producers are hoping that Mallika’s make-up will scare the daylights out of the audiences. Sources say that the actress has donned a truly sinister snake suit that prevents her from using the washroom for eight to ten hours at a stretch. And yes, she can’t quench her thirst during this period either. The suit also restrains her natural movement, to such a large extent that she can only slide about on the sets. “As a result, she’s carried to and from the sets every time she has a shot,” explains Govind Menon, one of the film’s producers.
