Fourth GIREM conference starts in Goa

The topics of the summit include waste management, land use policies, choice of appropriate business destinations, will be discussed by the industry experts in the conference.

Union Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath would deliver a key-note address during the conference. He would also give away prestigious GIREM Leadership Awards.

"Trends, issues and concerns in the realty sector, insights into the future of real estate and other pressing issues of urban India will be discussed during the conference," Shyam Sundar S Pani, President of GIREM said.

Around 400 delegates and top-notch stakeholders from 24 countries are participating in the event.

"GIREM is positioned strategically to be able to influence people, governments, corporations and organisations, to work collectively to change the discrepancy and lethargy that exists in the way we operate, exchange ideas and collaboratively put it into practice," he said.

"GIREM 2011 provides dynamic platform for policy-makers, decision-makers, strategic thinkers and people in leadership and authoritative positions to bring their vast experience, knowledge, know- how and underlying vision in giving the necessary momentum and impetus for development and growth of real estate and infrastructure in India," he added.
