He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating a programme on free distribution of sewing machines to 140 women and a group insurance awareness camp organised by the Karunya Charitable and Medical Services Trust. He said that women organisations should chalk out programmes to empower women. Trust President Dr R Sureshkumar said that the Trust has plans to establish a medical college attached with 1,000 bed hospital in Somwarpet taluk in future.
