32 power thefts detected in July: Jagruti Dal

 
An amount of Rs 7,85,539 has been imposed as fine, a press release from the Bescom said.

The places were raids were conducted are- Basavanatta, Purahalli, Byrandalli, Cholaghatta, Madderi, Kavathanahalli and Holuru in Kolar taluk; Tamaka in Kolar City; Kudiyanuru, Mangapura, Byrasandra, Huladevanahalli, Masti, Tyanadoddi and Hunasikote in Malur taluk; Nambihalli and Nambiganahalli in Srinivaspur and Chenniganahalli in Mulbagal taluk.

Nearly 37 cases have been disposed in last month and an amount of Rs 3,75,403 has been collected from consumers for BBC and compounding. Charge sheet has been filed in court against accused in 15 cases.

The team which conducted the raid was lead by Bangalore Bescom Jagruti Dal’s Commissioner Jayakumar and Assistant Commissioner Mallesh. Kolar Jagruti Dal’s Inspector K V Krishnappa and M Sameer Ali, AEE and staff Venkatkrishnappa, Dwarakanath, Krishne Gowda, Bheemaiah, Prakash, Umashankar and B Mallesh were part of the team, the releases stated.
