JOIN USTTL boys to face Philomena's in finals
In the district-level hockey tournament conducted by National Sports Day Celebration Committee, TTL College trounced Ramakrishna Vidyashala PU College by 6-3.
In a fast-paced game, TTL College held the upperhand by having a major share of the exchanges. The other goal scorers for TTL College were Anil Ganapathy (11th), Dhananjay (18th) and N D Charan (19th).
R Abhishek (8th) and Tharaun Joyappa (15th & 22nd minutes) were the goal scorers for Ramakrishna Vidyashala PU College.
In another semi-final, St Philomena’s College trounced Cauvery PU College by 4-0. A brace by Gagan (11th & 34th minutes) was the highlight of the game. Yeshwin (7th) and Vidwan (21st min) were the other goal scorers.
In the college girls section, Teresian PU College, inspired by six goals from centre-forward Nandini (12th, 18th, 21st, 26th, 30th & 34th minutes) registered a massive 6-0 win over JSS Degree College to enter the final.
In the high school boys section, Demonstration High School and Shree Cauvery High School entered the finals, while in the high school girls section, Good Shepherd High School beat Cauvery High School 2-1 (tie-breaker) after being goalless at full time and secured the third place.
