Pomp, gaiety marks 'Kail Pold'

The house of Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda’s wife Datty, too wore a festive mood as her family members in Gudde Mane of Gudde Hosur village performed special pooja to the gun and farm equipment as a part of ‘Kail Pold’.

The family members neatly arranged the weapons and offered prayers. The eldest brother of Datty, G M Mani Kumar shot the  coconut in a coconut tree which added more colour to Kailu muhoortha. Kannada Sahitya Parishat Hobli President N K Mohan Kumar, family members of Datty, Gani Prasad, A Devaraj and others were present.The festival included sumptuous dishes Kadumbattu, Pandi Curry etc. The buffaloes were also offered a pooja on the occasion.
