The dancers mesmerised the audience with a fascinating mix of various dance styles.

The dance extravaganza was on a par with any international stage shows and was performed by the talented dancers, who have undergone professional dance training.

These dancers, hand-picked by Shiamak Davar, left the audiences asking for more. The highlight of the show was the display of a unique combination on Indian and modern movements, which are symbolic of Shiamak’s style.

Its powerful visuals made the audience stand in awe of the dancers. Tributes were paid to Mahatma Gandhi, Michael Jackson and Shammi Kapoor through excellent dance movements as well. A glimpse of Rio, a musical by ‘Showkids’, a group of talented kids received a standing ovation from the audience.

Dancing to the biggest hits including Sheila Ki Jawani and Munni Badnam Hui, the SPB set the stage on fire. There were also surprise performances by Shiamak’s instructors. “They have worked hard for this show and have transformed as people, learning to work in teams, create props and sets and design costumes. They have learnt all aspects of an experience involving the performing arts,” said Shiamak.

Shiamak’s principle dancer, Aneesha Dalal who has been teaching dance for two decades, had exclusively trained the students for the show.

“It was great that these students got this opportunity from Shiamak and made the most of it. More than just the show, it is the journey towards the show, the preparation and rehearsal that are more special to a performer. They all danced like stars and Shiamak will be very proud of them,” she said.

“I have always seen performances by Shiamak’s dance academy on TV and seeing them live in action was a dream come true for me. The kind of training these students have got is excellent and they seem no less than professionals,” said Shamika, a member of the audience.
