The CBI petition seeking custody of the two was also adjourned till Thursday.
The CBI court directed the agency to file its response to the bail petition of the duo arrested Monday.

The two men were remanded to judicial custody till Sep 19 in a case of illegal mining in Andhra Pradesh.

The CBI has sought their custody for 15 days for interrogation. Counsel of the investigating agency told the court that the Janardhana Reddy and Srinivasa Reddy have to be questioned to find out where they indulged in illegal mining, where the iron ore was transported and sold, and who are the others involved.

Stating that it has enough evidence against the duo, the CBI offered to present it before the court.

The CBI said it wants to ascertain the names of the government officials who colluded with the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC), owned by Janardhana in its illegal mining.
The CBI arrested Janardhana and OMC managing director Srinivasa Reddy after raiding their houses early Monday in Bellary in Karnataka.

The same day they were brought here, and lodged at the Chanchalguda Central Jail here.

The arrests were made in connection with a case registered by the CBI in 2009 against OMC and others for illegal mining in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district, bordering Karnataka.

The accused were booked for criminal conspiracy, cheating and other offences under the Indian Penal Code, the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Mines and Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act.
