Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Dr N S Channappa Gowda who has approved the recommendation of the Sullia Tahsildar has ordered to make alternative arrangements for the vehicle movement in Sullia Town Panchayat limits. The movement of heavy vehicles will be banned on Paichar-Parivarakana road due to the drainage work in Mani-Mysore road taken up by KRDCL. The alternative arrangement would allow the movement of vehicles on Mangalore-Uppinangady and Sakaleshpura-Mysore road.
With the change in the traffic route, all the vehicles arriving from the side of Puttur, Bellare and Subrahmanya should join at Sullia bus stand as earlier and vehicles plying from Madikeri towards Sullia should join at temporary bus stand near Amarshree Bhag in Parivarakana.
Vehicle movement will be completely banned from Puttur to Mysore on Madikeri route. The alternative route for light vehicles will be Paichar-Sonangeri-Doddathota-Elimale-Sevaje-Aranthod. This change will be in effect from September 8 to 18, informed a release issued from the district administration.
