He was speaking to the media persons after inspecting the land near Golf Course for setting up Drainage Water treatment plant.
“With the quick growth and proportionate increase in the population, the CMC has planned to construct 106 km long drainage in the city for the benefit of the people. The generated drainage water will be later treated in a treatment plant,” he informed.
The project will be placed before the CMC general body meeting for approval and then will be placed before the government for consent, he said.
CMC President informed that four acres of private land near the Golf Course in the outskirts of the city will perhaps be used for setting up of the treatment plant. The project is implemented in the city due to the efforts of Assembly Speaker K G Bopaiah and MLA Appachu Ranjan, he said.
CMC Commissioner said that land will be acquired after convincing the private land owners.
