An explosion in an electrical installation in the saw mill led to the accident, according to the police. No causalities have been reporterd.
Australian Teak and other valuable logs have been reduced to ashes in the accident.
The fire personnel rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames from spreading to neighbouring saw mills in a four-hour ordeal.
District Superintendent of Police Debjyoti Ray visited the spot. Saw mill proprietor Ravojirao has lodged a complaint in with the Robertsonpet police.
