Advocates thrash TV scribes

The actor was arrested for assaulting his wife and was produced before a City court, which remanded him in judicial custody.

The Civil Court was teeming with fans who were waiting to catch a glimpse of the star and other prominent actors who were at the court to support him.

Television journalists who reached the spot were trying to take their OB vans inside the court premises for better coverage. In the melee, an advocate sustained injuries when his foot came under the wheel of an OB van. As the advocate raised an alarm, his colleagues reached the spot, assaulted the journalists and smashed their cameras.

The journalists lodged a police complaint at the Ulsoor Gate police station against the advocates.
