Creative Movement Therapy

Sutradhar offers a workshop on Creative Movement Therapy on October 1, 2011. The workshop will be taken by Tripura Kashyap, who has many years of experience in dance and movement education and therapy. She has authored two books on the subject, and is with the Bhoomika dance company, New Delhi.

The workshop is open to teachers and special educators, as well as counsellors and others working with children. Movement therapy is useful for all children, including those with special needs or in difficult circumstances.

Free workshop on Montessori Training
Vidyanjali Montessori Training Institute has introduced a free training workshop for aspiring Montessori teachers. The Academy is affiliated to the Indian Institute for Montessori Studies (IIMS).

Science tour to Germany
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) invites scientists and administrators from medical schools, universities and research institutions to participate in an educational tour on medical research and graduate education in Germany. The dates are December 4-10, 2011.

The tour will provide an overview of cutting-edge research at German universities, hospitals, research institutions and companies, as well as of graduate education in medicine and related disciplines.

Comprehensive information on funding opportunities for cooperation in education and research will also be provided. Researchers and administrators attempting to initiate close cooperation with German colleagues, either in their specific research area or at an institutional level, can apply.

IIMB’s EPGP
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) is inviting applications for admission to its one-year full-time Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) for the academic year 2011- 2012.

The EPGP is designed to enhance skills and capabilities essential for responsible positions at senior management levels. Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA and 7 to 15 years full-time work experience can apply.

Selection is based on academic performance, quality and duration of work experience, a valid GMAT score, Statement of Purpose and Letters of Reference. One can apply for the course online.
