Cabinet to hold meeting in Gulbarga

Speaking to mediapersons, taking off from the campaigning for the Chittapur (SC) Assembly constituency at Wadi, in Gulbarga, Yeddyurappa said that the Cabinet meeting will be held in Gulbarga once in every year. It would focus on the comprehensive development of the Hyderabad-Karnataka region and other rural areas of the State and take suitable decisions.

After coming to power in May 2008, the first ever BJP government headed by Yeddyurappa had held its first Cabinet meeting outside Bangalore in Gulbarga on September 26, 2008.

This would be the second Cabinet meeting.

Stating that at present there was no power shortage in the State, the CM said, in order to put an end to the power problem, the State has worked out a road map for the generation of 5,000 MW power in five years.
