Among the valuables found is a throne-like golden chair. The letters ‘GJR’ have been embossed on the diamond-studded chair. Gold has been used liberally in the making of the four legs of the chairs and other parts. The chair is upholstered by red cushions.

Golden idols of Lord Venkateshwara and Padmavathi, countless items of gold jewellery, currency notes amounting to crores of rupees, a golden plate and pooja materials made of gold with intricate carvings were also found.

Most of the gold items as also the platinum jewellery seized by the CBI in Reddy’s house were purchased in Bellary, it is said.

The CBI team evaluated the items till 1.30 am on the day of the raid and the currency amounting to Rs three crore were counted by the staff with the help of a counting machine.
However, the team left behind some jewellery following a request by the members of the Reddy family that they need them for the wedding of a relative.
