Members said they would hold the protests in front of the state legislature complex here when the autumn session begins on September 26.
“The state government has not kept its promise of empowering us. We have been left with no option but to go for the protest,” said Fazal Hussain Khan, chairman Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference. He added that his body represents 35,000 elected members.
