Faithful: A scene from ‘Hawan’. It’s all about relationships

Hawan’ premieres on September 26 at 7 pm on Colors. The serial is based on the relationship between a man and his guru (Baapji) and the myriad of human emotions that exist between the two of them. It captures the journey that goes behind people’s faith.

Madhav, a potter from a small village, and his daughter Aastha worship and believe in Baapji. They swear by his remedies and consider him as an answer to all their problems.

When Aastha comes to know that Baapji is coming to town, she is excited and hopes to get a glimpse of him. Will she be able to meet her guru?

Tough guy: Simon Cowell Musical charm

The X-Factor’, the musical reality show with unbound talent, airs every Monday to Thursday at 10 pm on AXN. The show will see the king of singing reality shows — 
Simon Cowell — once again on the small screen with a bigger bang than ever.

Simon who has taken the world by storm, thanks to his salty remarks, will be judging the new format that spins beyond the spell of ‘American Idol’.

Simon Cowell is not the only familiar face on the show. The panel also includes the beautiful Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherinzger of ‘Pussycat Dolls’ and Antonio ‘LA’ Reid. The show moves ahead of its contemporaries with a format that stands out and an offer that is simply irresistible.

The victor who could be a single artiste, a band or a troupe claims a five million dollar contract with Syco/Sony Music (Simon’s own music company). The contestants with their vocal ability, charisma and stage presence have the Herculean task of not only spellbinding the panel but also engaging their legion of fans.

Overcoming personal demons

Cartoon Network airs the act­ion-packed ‘Spiderman 3’ on September 26 at 6 pm. The movie stars Tobey Mcguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Thomas Ha­den Church and Topher Gra­ce. Peter Parker, the sup­er­he­ro, becomes his own enemy when his suit suddenly cha­nges, turning jet-black and en­hancing his powers, thereby transforming him and bri­nging out the dark, ve­ngeful side of his personality that he is struggling to cont­r­ol.

As the suit influences Peter, he becomes overconfident and starts to neglect the people who care about him. Forced to choose between the bewitching power of the new suit and the compassionate hero he used to be, Peter must overcome his personal demons to combat his most feared  enemies, Sandman and Venom. Watch how Spiderman fights his enemies and himself to win back those he loves.

Unlucky superhero

Watch ‘Hancock’ on September 26 at 10.55 pm on Star Movies. The movie stars Will Smith, Jason Bateman and Charlize Theron.

Powerful superhero John Hancock has become a joke because of his alcoholism and clumsiness. He has also become the most hated man in Los Angeles. Though he has saved many lives, he also destroyed a lot of property, costing the city millions every time he goes into action. When he saves the life of PR expert Ray Embrey from an oncoming train, the executive is thankful and believes he can restore Hancock’s image as a true superhero. He brings the anti-hero home for dinner and introduces him to his son Aaron, a big fan, and his wife, Mary. But for some mysterious reasons, Mary doesn’t want Hancock anywhere near her or her family.
