Police to quiz slain bank manager's family

“The police have made a remarkable progress in the investigation. The relatives and family members of Poojary, including his wife and daughter, are likely to come to the City in a day or two. The police will question them,” said DCP (South) Sonia Narang.

The police have questioned many persons, including colleagues of Poojary, in this connection. He had few friends.

The police have questioned those who knew him and collected vital details, she said and expressed confidence that the case would be solved at the earliest. Poojary, the Chief Manager of Oriental Bank of Commerce on MG Road, was found dead at his house near Yediyur lake in Jayanagar on Sunday. He was staying alone here, while his wife and daughter lived in Mumbai.

Two persons robbed

Unidentified men robbed a woman and a construction worker of their gold chains, in separate incidents early Tuesday morning.

Police said two men in an autorickshaw followed Meena-kshi,  a resident of Srinivasnagar in Banashankari I Stage, when she was returning home after visiting a relative in the same area at around 6.30 am. One of robbers got off the autorickshaw even before she could reach her house, snatched her gold chain, and fled.

In another incident, unidentified persons relieved a construction worker of his gold chain in Vyalikaval police limits. The incident occurred at a construction site on Sankey Road near Bhashyam Circle, when Hanumanth was fast asleep.
