Experience pure acoustic music with your favourite singers starting October 1 at 8 pm and 10.30 pm on MTV. It’s an explosion of acoustic music and mesmerising performances as ‘Micromax MTV Unplugged’ hits your television screens this Saturday with Punjabi music’s true urban balladeer, Rabbi Shergill.

The Bullah Ki Jaana hitmaker doles out his popular hit songs in an acoustic format in the first episode this week.

These include Bullah, a song based on the poetry of the 18th century Sufi saint Baba Bulleh Shah; Jugni, a folk special; Bilqis, a song that pays tribute to the unsung heroes of our nation; Tere Bin from the movie ‘Delhi Heights’, and Heer based on a poetic love story and many more.

A starry experience

Tune in to ‘Live My Life’ on October 2 at 7 pm on UTV Stars. Pune-based Zeeshan travels all the way to Mumbai to catch a glimpse of his favourite superstar, Rani Mukherjee.

Little does he know that he is embarking on a journey he would remember for life. The 23-year-old lad has a lot in store for him.

The day begins with a surprise visit from the gorgeous Shamoly Khera, a handwritten letter from Rani and a luxury car trip to a five star hotel.

On reaching the hotel, he is welcomed with much fanfare in authentic Bengali style and awaiting him at the lobby are Amosse, Rani’s assistant and Murugan, her bodyguard.

After a phone call from Rani and a hair cut from Avan Contractor, his joy knows no bounds when he meets choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant, Rani’s best friend, over an informal dance session.

They dance together and speak about their ardent fondness for the brown-eyed lass.
Soon after this, Zeeshan meets Vikram Bhatt for a press conference and goes to the theatre to catch a movie.

But the biggest of all surprises is yet to come and that is a meeting with Rani herself! What’s more! Rani even shakes a leg with Zeeshan.

Interactive: Simi Garewal and Neil Nitin Mukesh. ‘I have been in love three times’

This Sunday on ‘Simi Selects India’s Most Desirable’, meet versatile actor-cum-singer-cum-dancer, Neil Nitin Mukesh. The most eligible bachelor in town, the fair and handsome, Neil Nitin Mukesh bares his heart out to the elegant hostess.

He declares himself “single” on the show. However he does speak at length on his past relation. He said, “I wasn’t single before. I wanted to get married to her. I know her since six years. Today we are still friends. I have been in love three times.”

He calls himself a romantic. “On Valentine’s Day, I had decorated my entire house with red balloons and also played the piano,” he says.

Neil also reveals something that most people don’t know. “Ranbir and I went to the same college. I have never seen Ranbir attend any lecture in college. He used to always be outside college with beautiful girls!”

Now isn’t that expected out of our chocolate boy, Ranbir Kapoor? But Neil also goes on to comment, “I am more focussed than Ranbir.” When asked who are his friends in the industry, he says, “Ranbir, Riddhima, Arya Babbar, Sikander (Kher) and Abhishek (Bachchan) are good friends.” According to him, “Priyanka Chopra has redefined her status of desirability.” This is not all. The actor and son of the legendary Nitin Mukesh plays the piano and sings melodies like Papa Kehte Hain, Aa Dekhe Zara, Tune Jo Na Kaha and many more. He also sings Jeena Yahaan, Marna Yahaan and dedicates it to his father. He grooves to ‘Move Your Body’ and Choli Ke Peeche as well. “I have composed six songs for my upcoming film. So I am going to sing, compose and act,” he exclaims.
