The Indians will now hold psychological edge over the Islanders when the two  teams lock horns in the title clash on Sunday.

Opting to bat first, the visitors could not negotiate the guile and variation of Indian tweakers led by off-spinner Baba Aparajith as they got bundled out for a mere 196. Chasing a modest target, Chand and Akhil Herwadkar sent the Islanders on a leather hunt as they put up 121 runs together for the opening wicket.

Sri Lanka U-19: 196 all out in 44.3 overs (Niroshan Dickwella 57, Pulina Tharanga 31, Tharindu Kaushal 40; B Aparajith 5-35, Vikas Mishra 3-37) lt to India U-19: 202/3 in 31 overs (Unmukt Chand 122 n.o., Akhil Herwadkar 51; Pulina Tharanga 2-19).
