CRC directive to coffee growers

Dr H G Seetharam from Coffee Research Centre (CRC) has asked the coffee growers to use mats while plucking the coffee beans on the floor and in case the quantity of disease infected beans are more, then they should go for processing the beans by washing the beans in boiling water.

Addressing a seminar on coffee berry borer and management of nutrition for plants at Shree Durga Parameshwari Cultural hall on Wednesday at Jayapura, Dr Seetharam said that there is a need to use traditional as well as modern methods judiciously to manage and control such disease.  Rotary President K P Gopalkrishna presided over the programme.
