Hackers claim access to Vikram Pandit's personal info

Last Updated 04 May 2018, 03:44 IST

A statement, purportedly issued by a hacker group named Cabin Cr3w, said many protesters had wanted to withdraw their funds and close their accounts from Citibank.
"They were met with strong police presence and arrested. We as American citizens must have full control over our money and livelihood. When this is taken away from us, what else do we have?  So, the CEO of Citibank has blindly jumped into the sights of the CabinCr3w," the statement said.

Reports said India-origin Pandit's personal information have been hacked by CabinCr3w, which is affiliated to the Anonymous online activist group that is involved in the 'Occupy Wall Street' protests.

"Addresses, phone numbers and other personal data of Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit have been leaked by hacker group CabinCr3w after two dozen Occupy Wall Street protesters were arrested at a Citibank location," Digital Trends website said in a report.
