JOIN USSpecifying numbers for the first time, Oracle, which presently has around 21,000 employees, said that all the 3,500 new recruits would be permanent hires.
Referring to the need to expand sales teams, Oracle said, “As part of the ongoing recruitment drive within Asia-Pacific, the heightened need in India is a result of the company’s growth across all business units for Oracle India and Oracle Global Business Units and includes positions at all levels from graduates to senior sales staff and technical/pre-sales consultants.”
With Oracle working with more than 3,80,000 customers globally, that company added that the new recruits would get an opportunity to serve some large, innovative global companies, including those listed on Fortune 100.
“The company is contemplating extensive use of social media as well as referrals in this recruitment drive,” Oracle India Managing Director Sandeep Mathur said, adding that the campaign will be supported through innovative social media initiatives, using Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and the Oracle HR Blog.
