Tension prevails as miscreants desecrate madrasa, temple

The incident came to light when the Moulwi of a mosque near the madrasa had come for prayer at 5 am. As soon as the news began to spread, more than 50 people gathered in the vicinity. However, SI Shivaprakash, Circle Inspector K Nanjundegowda and ASP Chandragupta visited the spot and held talks with the locals. The locals have urged the police to arrest the culprits.  A similar incident had taken place in Sharavu Mahaganapati Temple on Saturday. The temple was desecrated by keeping the head of a cow in the main entrance of the temple. Commotion prevailed for sometime as large number of people had gathered on the spot as the news began to spread. However, the situation was brought under control by deploying additional police personnel.   Speaking to Deccan Herald, SP Dr A S Rao said: “We are investigating into both the incidents. Culprits will be arrested soon.”
