One such fall is there near the plantation belonging to former minister Sageer Ahmed at Honnammanahalla on the Datta Peeta road. The waterfall is at a distance of 18 km from Chikmagalur and beckons tourists.

One has to tread half km amidst a coffee plantation to have a darshan of the falls that jumps from a height of 80 feet. However, it is a challenge for the treckers to fight with leaches.

Despite the sprawling greenery in the surroundings, one will regret to see liquor bottles, plastic and other garbage thrown here and there.

However, the falls is still “unknown” to the district administration. It can take steps to install a sign board on the datta Peeta road giving details of the route leading to the falls.
