Strive to impart quality education, teachers told

He was addressing a group of primary school teachers at a workshop organised forthem at Pawan College here on Tuesday. The workshop has been organised by Public Instruction Department and Block Resource Centre.

Such workshops help in improving the knowledge of teachers, he added.

District Institute of Education and Training’s Development wing deputy director Mohammed Bashir said education has been made compulsory for children in the age group of 6 to 14 years by the Constitution. But quality education is what lacking in the  country. Hence, teachers must emphasis on imparting quality and value-based education.

Block Education Officer Shivalingaiah said the workshop will be conducted for five days and resource persons from various walks of life will take classes.

Pawan Educational Institutions Administrative Officer Narayanswami and Block Resource person G Srinivas were present.

Similar workshop was held at Shidlaghatta.
