JOIN USA release from the Sene State General Secretary Mahesh Kumar said that awareness will be created through the programme with regard to the peeth. He said that the BJP is all set to use Dattapeeta as the election subject again and the Sene will not allow this to happen.
“Though this Government came to power in the name of Dattapeet it has failed to do anything for the welfare of the Datta caves. The cave was damaged three years ago but still the government could not take up the repair work efficiently,” he said calling upon the Sene activists to not allow Dattapeet become a pawn in the state politics.
He said that, last year the District Administration had manifested partiality towards Bajrang Dal.
“The district administration did not give permission for the Dattamala Abhiyan and Dattapaduka Darshan planned by the Sene but the Datta Jayanthi and Paduka Darshan programme of the Bhajrang Dal was given permission,” he said urging permission for Sene’s Paduka Darshan this year. He has asked the District Administration to clarify its stand in this regard.
“We will wait till November 12 for the District administration’s stand. If it does not give us the permission then we will make another Paduka exactly like the Dattapaduka and keep it for Darshan,” he said.
Shobhayatre
The Shobhayatre as a part of the Dattamala Abhiyan will be held on November 12 at 9.30 am from Kamadhenu Ganapathy temple to Bolarameshwara temple.
On November 13, ‘homa’, ‘havana’ will be held in the presence of the seers from various mutts.
Mass feeding will be taken up at Dattapeet for the devotees.
