He was speaking after handing over a cheque of Rs 20 lakh to the officials of the Land Army Corporation, issued by the City Municipal Council on Monday.

The park which will be reconstructed incorporating advanced technology would require an additional Rs 35 lakh, he added. Also, speaking on the occasion CMC President M Prakash said that T Chennaiah park is an asset of the CMC. However, the foundation laying ceremony of the park was  held in a hurried manner without considering the CMC members.
The reconstruction work was handed over to the Land Army Corporation without much deliberation.

In the wake of all these confusions the reconstruction work of the park has received a set back. However, the confusions have now been sorted out in the presence of the legislator and the blueprint for the park’s reconstruction has undergone some changes, he added.

The park reconstruction work will be undertaken in two phases.

In the first phase, a fence will be erected around the park and also the ground will be levelled using good quality mud. In the middle of the park, a fountain will be created. In the second phase, rare and attractive saplings will be planted and their growth will be carefully monitored. Colourful lights will be installed to make the visit to the park in the evenings a memorable experience, explained Deputy Director of Land Army Corporation H Chandramohan.
