Bio-medical waste management must: DCF

He was speaking at a district level three-day workshop on bio-medical waste management organised by the wildlife division of the forest department and Eco Management and Policy Research Centre of the environment department in Mandya recently.

Pointing out at the negative effects of global warming on our environment, Singh said conservations of our ecology is the only solution to all problems.

Stating that awareness about the effects of climate change was very essential, he said all facilities should be provided for bio-medical waste management even at primary health centres.

District health and family welfare officer Dr T S Marigowda inaugurated the workshop.

Veterinary department deputy director Narasimhamurthy, head of community medicine at Mandya Institute of Medical Science Dr B J Mahendra and Vikas and Dr B Harshavardhan of Eco Management and Policy Research Centre were present on the occasion.
