The two complaints are part of five complaints filed by advocate Sirajin Basha accusing Yeddyurappa of corrupt practices, during his tenure as chief minister.

Counsel for Basha sought 10 days’ time to continue the hearing in two cases dealing with illegal denotification of land, as the senior counsel could not be present. An exemption application was also filed on behalf of Basha, who was not present in the Court.

The Special Lokayukta Court is recording the sworn statement of the complainant in both the cases.

Recently, the High Court granted bail to Yeddyurappa and Krishnaiah Setty, in two other private complaints filed by Basha, on charges of illegal denotification of land for pecuniary gain to Yeddyurappa and his family. The counsel for Basha is expected to challenge this in the Supreme Court.
