Youth kidnaps, rapes schoolgirl

The Whitefield police said the girl’s parents in their a complaint filed on November 5, alleged that she was kidnapped by Rajashekhar, a mobile phone tower mechanic and resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Bangalore South-East.

The police, after five days of investigation, got to know from one of his friends that Rajashekhar had detained the girl in a brick factory at Naganayakanahalli, Hoskote and rescued the girl.

During interrogation, Rajashekhar confessed to the crime. The girl alleged that he abused her physically. The suspect and the victim were sent to medical examination and based on the report, the police booked three cases against him.

A PU dropout, Rajashekhar had proposed to the girl and pestered her to marry him. As she spurned his proposal, he kidnapped her, the police said. However, the police are yet to ascertain how he could kidnap the girl in broad daylight from a crowded area.
 
Man held for murder
The Adugodi police arrested a man in connection with the murder of a 20-year-old construction worker on Saturday.

C C Kariya alias Raja, 30, a resident of Lakshman Rao Nagar in Koramangala, had a financial dispute with his friend Arun, the victim.

Arun’s brother, Chiranjeevi, in his complaint said that on the night of October 30, Kariya took the victim to a construction site and bludgeoned him to death.  The police said Kariya threw the body in a tank in the ground floor of the under-construction building.
The other workers, who noticed the body the next day, alerted the police.

Motorcyclist killed
A two-wheeler rider Venugopal (29) was killed in a hit-and-run case in Indiranagar on Friday.

A resident of KR Puram and a casual worker with HAL, was knocked down by a vehicle from behind on KR Puram Main Road.
