Stage set for midnight marathon

A large number of CEOs from Bangalore’s corporate houses participated in the one-mile run to show their support to the ‘Run for a Child” cause - the theme for this year’s Midnight Marathon scheduled for December 10and 11.

The IDEB Power Mile was flagged off from Sigma Tech Park, Whitefield by MLA Arvind Limbavali and the President of Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor (RBITC) Sheila Premkumar and culminated at Palm Meadows Club, Whitefield.

The new 10K run event that has been added on popular demand to the BIMM races this  year is being sponsored by GE while the five-km IT City Run will be sponsored by Adecco. These were announced at the end of the Power Mile.

The registrations for the ‘Run for a Child’ Bangalore International Midnight Marathon-2011 (BIMM-2011) commenced from October 27. Individuals or corporate interested to participate can register by logging on to www.midnightmarathon.in or www.rbitc.org by paying an amount of Rs 300. The amount is contributed to a social cause.
