"To help horticulture farmers of Krishnagiri, (State-run) Aavin will examine the purchasing of excess mangoes and processing them as mango milk shake for supply to Noon Meal Centres," Jayalalithaa said.
The chief minister made the announcement at the concluding session of the Collectors' Conference here today.
The state's Nutritious Meal programme is devised with the double objective of preventing school dropouts and at the same time, address the issue of child malnutrition.
