<p>This event, presented in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut, Deutscher Musikrat and Deutsche Welle, is part of the ‘Seagram’s 100 Pipers India Music Week’. <br /><br />An ensemble of 35 young German Jazz musicians will perform with leading exponents of South Indian music — legendary figures and virtuosos from the Karnataka College of <br />Percussion — R A Ramamani, T A S Mani, Karthik Mani and master percussionist Ramesh Shotham. <br /><br />The programme will include compositions by Ramamani, Louiz Banks and Charlie Mariano. <br />‘BuJazzO’, winner of the ‘1997 German Music Prize’, has given over 400 concerts, undertaken 15 international tours and produced numerous broadcast recordings.<br /><br /> As an outstanding ensemble, it plays an exemplary role in the prolific youth jazz scene in Germany as well as around the world. <br /><br />On several international tours, ‘BuJazzO’ has built many ‘bridges of friendship’ as a cultural ambassador of Germany. The orchestra will travel to six other cities after the premiere in Bangalore.<br /><br />Entry to the event is free, but by invitation.
