JOIN USThe teenage girls -- students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Baran -- took the extreme step apparently under stress due to studies, they said.
After returning from tuition yesterday, they went to the house of one of them and then left together for a nearby market.
After some time, one of the girls called up her mother and told her that they were under stress due to their studies and had consumed a poisonous substance, Superintendent of Police (Baran) K B Vandana said.
The girl's father rushed to the spot and took the girls to a hospital but they could not be saved, the SP said.
A suicide note, with signature of the three girls, was recovered which stated that they were taking the extreme step of their own, and no one should be blamed for it, she said.
The bodies had been sent for post mortem and their school teachers and friends were being questioned, the police official said.
