The CBSE invites applications for the Central Teachers Eligibility Test,  2011. This certification is mandatory to be eligible to teach at primary or elementary level schools in India. Sale of CTET application forms are available at designated branches of Syndicate Bank till November 25, 2011 . Online submission of application  till November 25, 2011.

Last date of receipt of completed application forms is November 30, 2011
An admit card will be issued on or before January 12, 2012. The exam will be held on January 29, 2012. The score will be valid for seven years. Applicants can give any number of attempts to pass or improve their scores.

How to apply: Those interested can apply either online or on the prescribed application form (offline). To apply online, candidates have to log on to the board’s official website: Fill in the appropriate details and information after carefully reading the instructions mentioned. One must take a print out of the computer-generated confirmation page after the successful submission of the data.

The application fee is Rs 500 for General/OBC category and Rs 250 for SC/ST/differently-abled category which can either be paid with a debit/credit card or by DD drawn from any nationalised bank in favour of “The Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi” payable at Delhi. The candidate must write his/her name, address and registration number on the back of the DD.

To apply offline, one can obtain the information bulletin and application form in person from the designated branches of Syndicate bank, institutions specified on the Board’s website against a cash payment (not by post). The same can also be obtained through post by sending a DD of required fee (mentioned above) from the Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Sadan, 17 Rouse Avenue, New Delhi-110 002.

The duly-filled application form along with DD (in case of online application) and other necessary enclosures must be sent in an envelope (size 12”x10”) to ‘Application for CTET- 2012’.  The envelope should be sent by registered post or speed post to ‘The Assistant Secretary (CTET), Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Sadan, 17, Rouse Avenue, New Delhi-110002’ latest by November 30, 2011.
