Starting from ‘scratch’

Karisma Kapoor.Dangerous Ishq is turning out to be a dangerous affair for Karisma Kapoor, who returns to films after a long gap with this Vikram Bhatt venture.

Apparently, the pretty actress ended up rubbing co-star Ruslaan Mumtaz the wrong way — and quite literally at that! For a crucial shot, she had to scratch the young
actor.

According to a source, “Ruslaan plays the villain in Dangerous Ishq. The scene begins with him insulting Karisma. He insults her so much that she ends up scratching him on the chest.

The professional that she is, Karisma took the scene a bit too far. She scratched Ruslaan so hard that she left him bruised and bleeding. She realised what she had done later.”

However, Karisma consoled Ruslaan in an interesting way. She told him, “I have scratched every actor of mine including Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. And they all went on to become huge, successful stars. The scratch marks on your chest will take you far too. Mark my words, you will reach the top soon.”

Let’s hope Karisma’s prophecy comes true for this young actor.

No force applied

Director Vipul Shah along with co-producers Fox Star Studios was all geared up to pair the Salaam-E-Ishq co-stars, John Abraham and Vidya Balan, for the project.

However, a source said John had expressed his apprehensions about
working in the film’s sequel.

According to the source, John was not pleased with the passive role that co-producer Fox Star Studios took, when it came to promoting ‘Force’.

The source explained, “John does not want to be a part of the sequel since he fears that this too might not be promoted sufficiently.”

Leak tweak

A song, written and sung by Dhanush for the film ‘3’, has been leaked on the net and the makers have now decided to release it as a single track.

Sources close to the project say that they plan to tweak the song, composed by debutant Anirudh and that the audio will hit the market soon.

“The song is in both Tamil and English and will appeal to the youth,” said sources close to Aishwarya Rajnikanth, who is directing the film.

The film created quite a sensation when the daughters of two veterans of southern cinema decided to team up for it.

The film, which is directed by Rajnikanth’s daughter Aishwarya and stars Kamal Hassan’s daughter Shruthi in the female lead, is gaining more publicity after the leak episode. This is what you call a blessing in disguise!

Ajith’s new love

Popular Tamil romantic hero Ajith, who captured the imagination of millions, has fallen in love with photography — the man is a self-proclaimed camera freak and loves to capture different moods of his three-year-old daughter. “It started a decade ago when I was shooting for Dheena. My cameraman Aravind lent me his Nikon F-2 camera and ever since then, I have been hooked to this hobby,” said Ajith, who is married to actress Shalini.

The actor, known for hits like Kadhal Kottai and Kadhal Mannan, says he randomly captures whatever catches his fancy. But then he felt like learning the technical know-how of photography and did a two-week crash course in photography.
At present, he owns two high-end cameras — Nikon D2X and Nikon D700 — and has captured every stage of daughter Anoushka with them.
