He was speaking at the inauguration of the Kannada festival organised by Kannada Sahitya Parishat (KSP), Mandya taluk unit, here on Saturday. He said Mandya has made a huge contribution to Kannada literature.
District KSP president H S Muddegowda said felicitations and awards are losing their true meaning during these days as they are being presented to ineligible persons. He said the taluk KSP had selected persons with reputation for the felicitation.
Latha Rajashekar (literature), T Krishnappa (organisation), Ramegowda (entrepreneur), C Nagabhushan (industry), L R Shivaramegowda (politics), M B Shivakumar and M Puttegowda (education) were felicitated on the occasion.
BSY to campaign in Bellary
Forest minister C P Yogeshwar opined that the BJP candidate would win the Bellary by-elections. He said former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa would campaign for the BJP candidate in the upcoming elections.
