'Kushalnagar-Madikeri stretch a nightmare for drivers'

The road appears like a dirt track near Suntikoppa, Kodagarahalli and 7th Hosakote. Passengers rue that travelling has become almost impossible on the said stretch.

Road widening is already going on but nobody has attended the pothole misery. There are deep patches near culverts which are in large numbers. The heavy rains have added to the problems.

Civilians have urged that the agency that has undertaken the road widening project should fill the potholes too.

Pothole filling has not been done on this road for the past two years. Travel from Kushalnagar to Madikeri takes one hour usually, but now one requires more than one-and-half-hour. The road near Kodagarahalli has been converted into an accident zone.

Passengers Forum Convener S C Natesh said the Public Works Department has neglected the road maintenance for the past few years.
