JOIN USSankeerth, who overcame St Joseph’s Vishal R Bhat 14-21, 21-14, 21-11 in their semifinal encounter earlier in the day, faced a similar situation in the final against Army Public School’s Sudeep Suresh, who had earlier blazed past CMR National Public School’s Siddharth 21-16, 21-16 en route to the final.
A game down in the summit tie, Sankeerth upped the ante to clinch the next two games and clinch the title 18-21, 21-12, 21-15.
Sankeerth was back on court, this time paired with school-mate Roshan, to fight it out for the under-16 doubles’ title, and the duo eased past the Cambridge High School pair of Shivendu Jain and Pradyumna 21-19, 21-14.
In the corresponding girls’ title clash, Florence High School’s Syeda Sadath Arsheen registered a comfortable 21-13, 21-6 win over Vidya Vardhaka School’s Apeksha Nayak for the crown.
