University of Delhi, MBA Programme

The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) of the University of Delhi invites applications for an admission test for MBA and Ph.D programmes.  The last date for online registration is November 30, 2011. Candidates applying to the programmes are required to visit the FMS website (www.fms.edu) and apply online. Applications will be received only through the online registration process.

Eligibility criteria: Candidates applying for admission to the first year of MBA (full-time) programme must have pursued at least a three-year Bachelor’s degree programme after 12 years of formal schooling in any discipline. The minimum requisite percentage of marks in different disciplines is as follows:

Arts, Commerce or Social Sciences - 50%, Sciences - 55%, Mathematics or Statistics - 60%, Medicine, Engineering or Technology - 60% / CGPA of at least 6.00 in a scale of 10.00
Students with a postgraduate degree or second degree examination may also apply.
Note: Candidates appearing for the final examination of Bachelor’s / Post Graduate degree examinations may also apply. There is no reservation whatsoever for the graduates of Delhi University or the residents of Delhi.

Selection procedure: Selection for the MBA and Ph.D programmes will be on the basis of the Common Admission Test 2011 scores, group discussion and an interview.

PG-D in Sustainable Rural Development
The National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD), Hyderabad, invites application to its Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Sustainable Rural Development (PGDSRD), and will be  conducted through distance education mode.

The last date for the issue of application forms by NIRD  is November 30, 2011. The last date for receiving filled in application forms at NIRD, Hyderabad is December 5, 2011. The last date for receiving filled in application forms at NIRD, Hyderabad from North-Eastern states is December 15, 2011. The last date for receiving filled in application forms from Foreign / NRI candidates is January 15, 2012.

Eligibility: A graduate degree in any discipline from a UGC recognised university is mandatory. This is a one-year programme. More details can be obtained from the institute website.

TAPMI’S PG Diploma in Management
TAPMI is offering a full-time, two-year Postgraduate Diploma in Management. The programme is fully residential. Last date of online application is January 15, 2012.
Eligibility criteria: A three-year (10+2+3) university degree in any discipline, recognised by the AIU as eligible for post graduation, with not less than 50% overall aggregate marks. This also applies to those with professional qualifications like Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accounting and Company Secretary.

How to apply: Application forms can be completed and submitted online. Admission handbook can be procured directly from TAPMI admissions office by sending a demand draft to the Admissions Office of TAPMI. Application forms can also be procured directly from TAPMI admissions office by making cash payment.

Admission: TAPMI has adopted a two stage process for admitting candidates to the PGDM programmes. Valid CAT/ GMAT/GRE/MAT/XAT scores are mandatory pre-requisites to qualify for the admission process consisting of group-discussion/case analysis/interview or other evaluation components the institute deems fit.

Based on scores in CAT / GMAT, academic excellence, work experience, extra-curricular and clarity of purpose, candidates will be shortlisted and invited to participate in the TAPMI admissions process (GD/PI) to be held at Bangalore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata and Manipal. CAT is used only for short-listing.

Final selection will be based on performance in the TAPMI admissions process. For additional information, refer to institute website.
