KMF directors want Reddy to resign

Addressing a joint press meet here on Sunday, the directors said Reddy, though elected to the post with BJP support, was backing Sriramulu, an Independent candidate for the Bellary Rural bypoll.  

He has been suspended from the BJP for anti-party activities. Reddy should, therefore, resign from the post on moral grounds, the directors said.

Somshekhara Reddy was elected as president only for a period of three months, but has been continued for the second term, owing to changed political scenario.

The directors said it was not right on the part of Reddy to support an Independent candidate while enjoying the benefits given by the BJP government. “Reddy should quit the post immediately if he has any self-esteem,” they said.
