MS launches hunt for 8 top travel destinations

Microsoft India, in association with travel portal MakeMyTrip, has announced a hunt for the top eight destinations in the country, and has shortlisted 12, which include places as diverse as Kanatal in Uttarakhand and Munnar in Kerala to Shillong in Meghalaya and Andaman Islands.

Announcing the contest, Rajiv Popli, Director (Windows Client Consumer & Online Business) of Microsoft India, said one has to vote for a favourite destination from the chosen list and take a quiz to be eligible for the prizes.

“IE8 offers many innovative and unique ways to discover the realms of the online world and to take this a step further with India’s Unexplored 8 contest, we invite consumers to rediscover the adventurers in them and explore the unexplored dominions,” Popli said.

The other destinations on the shortlist are the Amarnath Yatra, Dooars In North Bengal, Lakshadweep, Ladakh, Visakhapatnam, Poovar Island Resort in Kerala, Sunderbans and the Valley Of Flowers.
