Amasebail Police Station to be inaugurated soon

It is said that the inauguration programme has been planned in January. If talks are to be believed then Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda and Home Minister R Ashok are expected to attend the inaugural programme.

Amasebail Police Station was opened on May 15, 2009 under the leadership of then Inspector General of Police (Western range) Gopal B Hosur.

The station was started without a building of its own hence it was made to function from Amasebail Gram Panchayat building. Since there was no proper infrastructure the police personnel were put to deep inconvenience. Without an own building and without a proper guest house, the cops used to stay in Vyavasaya Seva Sahakari Bank buildings.

Villages like Rattadi, Hosangadi, Madamakki, Shedimane, naxal affected areas like Jaddinagadde, Thombattu, Bolmane, Kelanaraseepura, Madamakki, Hanja, Karimane, Yedamale, Kabbinale, Bagimane, Balebare come under the jurisdiction of this station. It also has the responsibility of security of Karnataka Power Project.

Due to efforts of leader Amasebail Gopalkrishna Kodgi, former home minister Dr V S Acharya and Kundapur MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty a sum of Rs 2.40 crore was released. Steps were taken to allot two acre land near Durgaparameshwari temple for construction of the station.

Soon the work of constructing police station at a cost of Rs 40 lakh and guest house started.The entire project of construction the station, guest house and compound wall, all at a cost of Rs 2.40 crore will be completed next year. The work on station had been completed and the work on guest house and compound wall is still pending, said sources in Amasebail Police station.
